SUP kayak hybrids
Our hybrids use the same EPS core and Water Barrier Skin as our surfboards, scaled up. The 9'6" is 33 inches wide and easy to balance on; the 10'6" glides farther and tracks straighter. Both can be paddled standing, or sitting like a kayak, and the soft decks are friendly to kids and dogs.
The foam skimboard
Skimboarding is done in the thin water left as a wave runs back down the beach. Our 48in board is foam with four fiberglass stringers, so it planes quickly and stays stiff, but is soft on shins and heels. It floats, so you won't lose it in the shore break.

Which paddleboard should I choose?
The 9'6" is wider and more stable for beginners and easier to store; the 10'6" covers distance better.
Is the skimboard good for beginners?
Yes. The soft foam is forgiving and the board floats, which makes learning much less painful than on wood.
