Why we make soft tops
Surfing used to start with a heavy, hard board and a lot of bruises. We thought it should start with a smile. So we built a soft, wide, floaty board that anyone can carry to the water and stand up on, and we put the fins and leash in the box so the first session can start the moment it arrives.
How our boards are made
Every Wavestorm starts with an expanded polystyrene core molded around stringers. A soft Water Barrier Skin with UV-guarded graphics goes on top, and a slick high-density polyethylene skin goes underneath. Our sister brands use the same workshop and the same care, from Bloo Tide's heat-laminated boards to Storm Blade's sealed ASL construction.
The family
Wavestorm covers surf, bodyboarding, skim and paddle. Bloo Tide and Storm Blade bring their own shapes and art to the surf side; Water Buddies keeps the youngest swimmers afloat; Artikfun and Sno-Storm take our foam to the snow.
