Why we built it this way
- Three stringers run nose to tail through the EPS core, so the board keeps its shape after seasons on a roof rack.
- The Water Barrier Skin deck is soft to lie on and needs no wax — the traction pad handles your back foot.
- A slick HDPE bottom gives speed on mushy days and shrugs off a sandy shore break.
- Fins bolt through, the ankle leash clips on, and you are in the water inside ten minutes.
Our design brief for this surf board never changed: make a board everyone can stand on. The foam deck is soft, the EPS core and wood stringers keep it straight, and the HDPE bottom gives a little glide in weak waves. That mix is why the Classic became part of surfing culture, from beach breaks in New Jersey to the North Shore on small days.
We keep testing new graphics and accessories, but the shape stays. Beginners love how early it catches waves; advanced surfers love how much fun it makes a flat afternoon. Ask around the lineup and plenty of people will tell you their first surf experience happened on one of these.
